Improved training facilities secured for next season

We are pleased to advise that we have now secured improved training facilities for next season. Both the Burgess Park 3G pitch and the Harris Academy Bermondsey 3G pitch have now be reserved for Friday training starting September 2017 then running throughout the season. These pitches are a substantial improvement for the teams, providing high quality full sized training facilities. Myatts Fields will still be available for additional sessions and for home games for the U7 and U8 age groups.

U15s win Whyteleafe FC tournament for the third year in a row

Congratulations to our U15 team, winning the prestigious Whyteleafe FC tournament for the third year in a row. The tournament is played at the Ryman League club's fantastic 3G arena, and as always the competition was very high. Tigers entered two Under 15 teams; one team went out at the semi-final stage of the Shied competition while the other went on to win the tournament, recording seven victories in nine games. The winning team's semi-final was arguably the pick of the games, with Tigers coming back from a goal down to beat the hosts Whyteleafe 2-1. The final against a very physical ASC Strikers was a tough affair, ending 0-0, with Tigers going on to win in a penalty shoot-out.

Lambeth Tigers to join the London Youth Premier League

Next season, the older age groups at Lambeth Tigers will embark on a new and exciting challenge. Tigers have been accepted to play in the London Youth Premier League. The league is designed to be a stepping stone between grassroots football and professional academies with pro clubs like Crystal Palace, Cambridge United and Barnet all fielding teams in this league. Tigers will enter its Under 14, Under 15 and Under 16 teams into the league next season. For several years, many players and parents have wanted Tigers to have an increased standard of competition, week in week out. Our assessment is that this league will provide arguably the most challenging environment for our players and coaches
