About the Club

Lambeth Tigers is a grassroots, charity-registered non-for-profit Football Club. First founded in 1995, the club was re-founded in 2010 by David Marriott and Jamahl Jarrett and has grown substantially since to now field approximately 200 signed players in the London County FA Saturday Youth League and the Youth Premier League, as well as supporting approximately 200 others on a casual basis, through the provision of open-to-all development sessions and holiday camps.

Lambeth Tigers is a Nike Partner Club and has been a FA Charter Standard Club since 2013.

The FA Charter Standard Requirements we meet

Any club can apply for FA Charter Standard status, even a one-team club – provided the club is affiliated to its County FA. The criteria are challenging, but attainable for every club. Once awarded, FA Charter Standard clubs are given an annual ‘health check’ to ensure the standards of provision are being maintained.

What criteria must be satisfied to achieve Charter Standard?

  • Having an FA-trained Club Welfare Officer

  • An FA Level 1 coach for each youth team (U18 and below)

  • Criminal Record Checks (CRC) for all volunteers involved in youth football teams

  • FA Emergency Aid-trained volunteers linked to each team

  • Sign-up to and deliver The FA’s Respect programme

  • Appropriate administration governance in place – in relation to the club’s size

  • An FA Charter Standard Co-ordinator recruited for each club.

Additional Adult Club criteria:
To be formerly constituted

  • Require a set of recent Committee meeting minutes

  • Have at least one team playing in an FA-sanctioned league

  • Have a bank account in the club’s name

  • Provide a balance sheet and profit and loss account

  • Have a Club equality Policy

  • Link to a feeder club for players

  • A good disciplinary record

  • A first aider with every team.

Additional Development Club criteria:

  • A minimum of five teams covering at least four different age groups

  • A Football Development Plan for three to five years

  • At least one Level 2 coach coaching one of the teams

  • At least one coach who has attended the FA Youth Award Module 1, coaching one of the teams.

Important rules and documents to read

Players and parents should read the following documents before completing the registration forms.

Please note the following terms of registration:

  • If you are struggling to pay fees, please contact our Treasurer, Lucia Hinton, on 07956 101387 / registrations@lambethtigersfc.org

  • Failure to pay your fees on time or maintain payments will result in your child being dismissed from the team.

  • Unpaid personal fines issued by the league or the FA from any matches will result in your child not being selected for matches until these are paid.

  • Lambeth Tigers reserve the right to dismiss a player from the team.

  • The club operates a no-refund policy if your child is signed by another club, asked to leave the club on grounds of ill-discipline, or simply does not wish to play for the club. If a player is released from the club for other reasons, the club will consider the circumstances for a refund on a case-by-case basis.

  • If you have outstanding fees from the previous season, you will not be permitted to register for the current season until such fees are paid.

  • If players are not in match kits for games or training kits for training, they may receive a £5 fine.
